Help Us Create a Vision for Creston's Future

Each session is designed to look at identified issues and challenges and come up with some actionable ideas for addressing them. Each session is future-focused with the goal of identifying a vision for the topic at hand. When possible, we will have a visiting expert, who will be sharing some best practices related to the topic.

Each of the following sessions will be hosted at the Mealsite in the Restored Depot and is open to any interested person of any age who cares for the future of Creston.

Tuesday, July 30 at 7 PM – Housing
Monday, August 19 at 7 PM – Economic Development/Business
Monday, August 26 at 7 PM – Community Infrastructure
Tuesday, September 10 at 7 PM – Community Facilities and Recreation
Monday, September 30 at 7 PM – Qualify of life, Culture and Community Character
Tuesday, October 8 at 7 PM – Land Use, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Hazards

Southern Iowa Council of Governments planner Jeremy Rounds will facilitate discussion at each session, which should last no more than ninety minutes. Please contact Mr. Rounds at 641-782-8491 or if you have questions or cannot attend a session but are interested in giving input on a topic.
