Library Director

The Gibson Memorial Library is seeking a dynamic and innovative Library Director with demonstrated leadership abilities. The Library Director supports the library mission, vision and values through exceptional leadership and dedicated customer focus.

The Library Director is responsible for managing the facility, budget and staff development.  The Library Director oversees the day-to-day operations including technology, collection development, publicity, programming and the library’s social media presence. The Library Director will be responsible for building strong community partnerships.  

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, three years library experience and the State Library of Iowa Public Library Director Endorsement. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library Information Science, experience in library administration and five years of library experience.

Salary range: $39,000 - $48,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Part-Time Dispatcher

The City of Creston is currently seeking to hire a Part-Time 911 Dispatcher.  The work hours will be mostly nights and weekends with the starting wage at $19.03 per hour and a sign on bonus for previous ILEA certification.
